Fiddle Tunes in Harmony is the work of Marina Dodgson and Maurice Condie, both from the North East of England, and a project of Phoenix Folk Ltd.
Marina is a fiddle player and music arranger/composer based in Newcastle upon Tyne. She performs locally in various line ups at ceilidhs, folk clubs and community events and holds competition titles in both small ensemble performance and composition. In 2018, she recorded an album "First Light" with a mixed instrument folk quartet which features several of her original harmony arrangements. She is a Director of Phoenix Folk Ltd and a member of the Tyneside Fiddle Alliance.
Maurice has played in a range of bands since the end of the 1960s www.mauricecondie.co.uk. He currently is one half of the duo “Another Penny” with Adam Holden www.anotherpenny.co.uk. He has taught guitar regularly since 1982 and was, for 9 years, the “in house” guitar tutor for Folkworks. He is Founding Director of Phoenix Folk Ltd (a folk music development agency based in Tyneside) www.phoenixfolk.org.uk.
Marina and Maurice perform together as folk duo Miggins Fiddle (www.migginsfiddle.co.uk), and with Adam Holden as the Miggins Fiddle Ceilidh Band (www.migginsfiddle.co.uk/ceilidh-band). They also perform as part of The Sunday Trio (www.migginsfiddle.co.uk/the-sunday-trio).
